SSC Login: Official Portal, Registration, Admit Card & Results
The SSC login — the page many candidates search for as “ssclogin” — is the candidate portal of the Staff Selection Commission at ssc.gov.in/login. You sign in with your Registration Number and password to apply, choose exam slots, download admit cards and see answer keys and marks.
This is an independent guide. We have no login form and never ask for your password or OTP — every button for an SSC service opens the official website.
- Official portal
- ssc.gov.in/login
- Username
- Registration Number from your One-Time Registration
- Password
- The one you set at first login

Old ssc.nic.in credentials do not work on the new portal.
What do you need to do?
The same login opens every SSC service, but each task has its own timing and catches. Pick yours.
- Register for the first time (OTR)Create the one account you will use for every SSC exam.
- Fix a login problemForgotten password or registration number, OTP, captcha, locked account.
- Book your exam slotChoose city, date and shift when SSC opens self-slot selection.
- Download an admit cardCity intimation slip first, admit card a few days before the exam.
- Check the answer keySee your response sheet and raise objections within the window.
- See your result and marksResult PDF for roll numbers; marks and scorecard through login.
How to log in to the SSC portal
These steps apply to every SSC exam, from GD Constable to CGL. You need a completed One-Time Registration first — if you have never registered on ssc.gov.in, start with the OTR guide.
- Open the official site, not a search ad. Type
ssc.gov.inyourself, or use the official login button on this page. Check the address bar ends in.gov.in. - Select “Login or Register”. It sits in the header of the SSC homepage and opens the candidate login.
- Enter your Registration Number and password. The Registration Number was sent to your mobile and email when you registered. The password is case-sensitive.
- Type the captcha and log in. If the captcha is hard to read, refresh it rather than guessing — repeated failures waste attempts.
- Open the right section for your task. Applications, slot selection, admit cards and results each appear in your dashboard only while SSC has them open for your exam.
- Log out when finished, especially on a cyber café or shared phone, and never let an agent keep your password.
Confirmed on the official portal: the candidate login is at ssc.gov.in/login, and your Registration Number is the username.
Logging in for the first time
Right after One-Time Registration, SSC sends your Registration Number and a temporary password to your registered mobile and email. That temporary password works once: the portal makes you set a new password, then returns you to the login screen to sign in with it. From then on only your new password works. This sequence is described in SSC's OTR flow instructions.
Registration Number vs Roll Number vs password
Most “invalid username” errors come from using the wrong number. Each one has a different job:
| Where you get it | What it's for | Used to log in? | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Registration Number | Created at One-Time Registration; sent by SMS and email | Your SSC username, the same for every exam | Yes |
| Password | You set it at your first login | Signing in; reset through “forgot password” | Yes |
| Roll Number | Printed on the city slip and admit card of one exam | Exam day, and searching result PDFs | No |
| OTP | Sent to your registered mobile or email when needed | Verifying you during registration or recovery | No — never share it |
Your SSC dashboard: what you can do after logging in
Your SSC account is not just an application form. Over one recruitment cycle you will return to it several times. Services appear only when SSC opens them for a particular exam, so an empty section usually means “not released yet”, not a broken account.
| Task | When it usually becomes available | Our guide |
|---|---|---|
| View or update One-Time Registration details | Any time; some fields are locked after registration | Registration (OTR) |
| Apply for an exam and pay the fee | Only between the dates in that exam's notice | Applying after OTR |
| Select exam city, date and shift (under “My Application”) | For exams where SSC announces self-slot selection | Slot selection |
| City intimation slip and admit card | City details about 10 days before the exam, admit card about 2–3 days before (CGL 2026 notice (opens in a new tab), §14) | Admit card |
| Response sheet, answer key, objections | Shortly after the exam, for a limited window | Answer key |
| Marks and scorecard | After the result, usually for a limited period | Result & scorecard |
SSC login by exam
One account covers every exam, but stages differ. These guides explain what each exam's candidates open in the login, and when.
Delhi Police exams conducted by SSC (such as Constable and Sub-Inspector recruitment) use the same candidate login — see the Delhi Police note in the admit card guide.
SSC login not working? Find the fix
Choose what is happening. Each answer is a short version of our full login problems guide.
Select a problem above to see what to try.
Forgot your password
Use the forgotten-password option on the official login page. SSC verifies you with the mobile number and email you gave at One-Time Registration, so you need access to at least one of them. Set a new password, then log in again with your Registration Number. Full steps.
Forgot your Registration Number
Search your email and SMS for the message SSC sent when you registered. If you can't find it, use the forgotten registration number option on the login page, which matches the details you registered with. Full steps.
“Invalid username or password”
Check you are typing the Registration Number (not your roll number, application number or email), that Caps Lock is off, and that auto-fill hasn't inserted an old password. After a few failed tries, reset the password instead of guessing so the account doesn't get locked. More checks.
Old ssc.nic.in details don't work
That is expected. When SSC moved to ssc.gov.in, candidates had to complete a fresh One-Time Registration on the new portal. Registering again there is not a “duplicate”. Read the OTR guide.
OTP is not arriving
Wait a couple of minutes before requesting again, check that the mobile has signal and DND isn't blocking messages, and look in the email spam folder for the email OTP. Heavy traffic near deadlines can delay messages. More on OTPs.
Page won't load or times out
Near application deadlines and admit-card releases the portal gets very busy. Try a different browser, clear cache, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or try early morning. Don't wait until the last day of any window. More tips.
Logged in, but nothing is there
Admit cards, answer keys and marks only appear in your account after SSC releases them for your exam, and sometimes only for your exam date. Check the latest notice on ssc.gov.in for the release date. Admit card not showing.
Nothing works — who can help?
SSC's notices list a toll-free helpline, 1800 309 3063, for difficulty with the online application (CGL 2026 notice (opens in a new tab)). Other helpdesk contacts are published on ssc.gov.in. Keep your Registration Number and a screenshot of the error ready, and never share your password or OTP. When to contact SSC.
SSC new website login and the mySSC app
The Staff Selection Commission moved its candidate services from the older ssc.nic.in address to ssc.gov.in. The National Portal of India lists ssc.gov.in as the Commission's website. If an old bookmark, coaching handout or video shows ssc.nic.in, use ssc.gov.in instead.
Two practical consequences of the move:
- Fresh registration. An account created on the old site does not log in on ssc.gov.in. Complete One-Time Registration on the new portal.
- Search results for “SSC new website login”, “ssc gov in login” and “ssc nic in login” all lead to the same place — the login at ssc.gov.in.
Can I log in on my phone?
Yes, the website works in a mobile browser. SSC also offers the mySSC Android app on Google Play, which SSC upgraded in 2025 so that registration and applications can be completed on a phone, with Aadhaar-based authentication. SSC said the app needs Android 11 or later. Install it only from Google Play and check that the publisher is the Staff Selection Commission — look-alike apps exist.
Regional offices
Applications and logins are handled centrally on ssc.gov.in, but exams are run through nine regional offices. Your exam-centre options come from your region — for example, Rajasthan falls under the Northern Region with Delhi and Uttarakhand, and Karnataka and Kerala form the KKR region. Find your region.
Looking for a different “SSC” login?
“SSC” means several unrelated things in India. This site only covers the Staff Selection Commission recruitment exams. If you meant one of these, you need a different website:
- L&T / LTIMindtree / LTTS / L&T Finance “SSC” login — an internal employee portal of the Larsen & Toubro group. Ask your company's HR or IT helpdesk; we can't help with it.
- SSC (Class 10) board results in Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and other states — these are Secondary School Certificate exams run by your state school board. Use your board's official website.
- Coaching apps and payroll or billing systems with “SSC” in the name — log in through that company's own app or website.
SSC लॉगिन: हिंदी में संक्षेप
- आधिकारिक लॉगिन: ssc.gov.in पर “Login or Register” चुनें, या सीधे ssc.gov.in/login खोलें।
- हेल्पलाइन: SSC के परीक्षा नोटिस (जैसे CGL 2026 नोटिस (opens in a new tab)) में ऑनलाइन आवेदन की दिक्कत के लिए टोल-फ्री नंबर 1800 309 3063 दिया गया है।

SSC login questions
What is the official SSC login website?
The official candidate login is ssc.gov.in/login, reached from “Login or Register” on ssc.gov.in. Any site that asks for your SSC password on a different address — including this one — is not SSC. We never will.
What is my SSC login ID?
Your login ID is the Registration Number generated when you completed One-Time Registration. It was sent to the mobile number and email you registered with. It is different from the roll number printed on an admit card.
Do I need a separate login for GD, CGL, MTS or CHSL?
No. One candidate gets one SSC account, and you apply for every exam from it. Creating a second registration can cause problems with your candidature. See the OTR guide.
Is “ssc gov in login” different from “ssc nic in login”?
They point to the same Commission, but ssc.nic.in is the old address. Current candidate services are on ssc.gov.in, and old ssc.nic.in credentials do not work there.
Can I download my admit card without logging in?
Recent SSC admit cards and city slips have been issued through the candidate login on ssc.gov.in. Follow the instructions in your exam's notice, and avoid “direct download” links on unofficial sites. More in the admit card guide.
Is there an SSC helpline for login problems?
SSC's notices list a toll-free number, 1800 309 3063, for difficulty with the online application (CGL 2026 notice (opens in a new tab), cover page). Other helpdesk contacts are on ssc.gov.in. See when to contact SSC.
Can ssclogin.com reset my password or check my status?
No. We are an independent guide with no access to SSC systems. Only the official portal, SSC's helpdesk and your regional office can act on your account.
