SSC GD login: what Constable (GD) candidates do in the portal

The Constable (GD) exam uses the same SSC candidate account as every other SSC exam. What differs is the sequence of stages and documents you will open from that login.

This page covers what is specific to Constable (GD). For the general login steps, see the SSC login guide.

Last reviewed 2 November 2026 against the official SSC sources listed below.

One account, not a separate “GD website”

There is no separate SSC GD login site. Searches like “ssc gd.gov.in login” or “SSC GD website login” lead to the same candidate portal at ssc.gov.in. You use your One-Time Registration number and password, exactly as for any other SSC exam.

The 2026 exam recruited Constable (GD) in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, with 25,487 tentative vacancies (GD 2026 notice (opens in a new tab), §1 and §3). The list of forces can change between cycles, so check the notice for yours.

Which website handles which stage

This is the part GD candidates most often get wrong. SSC runs only the computer-based exam. The armed forces run the later stages, and their admit cards come from a different site.

SSC GD Constable stages: computer-based test, PET and PST, medical examination and document verification, final result.

Duration 60 minutes; 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer; offered in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages; marks normalised across shifts (GD 2026 notice (opens in a new tab), §12.1).

Physical standards to check before applying

The headline 2026 standards were a 5 km race in 24 minutes for men and 1.6 km in 8½ minutes for women, with different distances for the Ladakh region. Height was 170 cm for men and 157 cm for women, and men's chest 80 cm with 5 cm expansion. Relaxations apply for some categories and regions (GD 2026 notice (opens in a new tab), §12.4–12.5). Check these first: no CBT score helps if you can't meet them.

GD answer key

GD is one of SSC's largest exams, so the answer key release day is extremely busy. Log in early or late, save your response sheet immediately, and raise objections only within the window. The 2026 notice set the objection fee at ₹50 per question, online only (GD 2026 notice (opens in a new tab), §12.1.7). The general process, and how SSC judges objections, is in the answer key guide.

The 2026 cycle so far

  • Applications ran 1–31 December 2025; correction window 8–10 January 2026 (notice (opens in a new tab), §8, §10).
  • The CBE was held 27 April to 30 May 2026, with 21,56,776 candidates appearing (result write-up (opens in a new tab), §1).
  • Results for PET/PST shortlisting came on 12 October 2026. Final keys, response sheets and marks were to be posted for candidates to view after logging in, and PET/PST call letters through the CRPF website (§16, §18).

The next cycle's dates will come in a new notice. Don't rely on these for 2027.

GD candidate checklist

  • Before applying: age (18–23 on the crucial date in 2026), Class 10 result declared by that date, physical standards, and a working mobile and email on your OTR.
  • NCC certificate holders: opt in on the application form. The 2026 notice gave 5% (C), 3% (B) or 2% (A) of maximum marks as bonus, confirmed at DV and not for ex-servicemen (§7.5, §14.3).
  • Exam day: report two hours early. If you did not complete Aadhaar authentication, carry the admit card, two recent passport-size colour photos and original photo ID showing your date of birth (§13.9–13.10).
  • After the CBE: save the response sheet the day it is released.
  • After the result: switch to the CRPF website for PET/PST call letters, and keep category, domicile and relaxation certificates in the notice's formats.

GD-specific tips

  • Don't lose your CBT admit card. Its roll number links you to the result PDF and later stages.
  • Same login for “SSC login Constable”. Other constable exams conducted by SSC, such as Delhi Police Constable recruitment, also use your SSC account.

SSC GD login FAQs

I registered for GD last year. Do I register again?

No. If you registered on ssc.gov.in, log in with that account and apply for the new cycle. Only accounts from the old ssc.nic.in site need a fresh OTR.

Where do I check the GD exam city?

In your ssc.gov.in login, through the city intimation slip when SSC releases it. If SSC announces self-slot selection for a GD cycle, you'll choose the city there. See slot selection.

Why can't I find my PET/PST admit card in the SSC login?

For 2026, PET/PST, medical and DV admit cards came from the CRPF recruitment website, not SSC. Check the result write-up for your cycle.

Can I use the mySSC app for GD?

The mySSC app uses the same SSC account and supports applications. Check the current notice for what the app supports in your cycle.
