Sources we rely on
In order of authority:
- The official SSC website, ssc.gov.in, including its candidate login, notices and exam notifications.
- Instruction documents and FAQs published by SSC and its regional offices.
- Government directories such as the National Portal of India.
- Reputable news reporting of SSC notices, used only to locate and date official announcements — never as the sole basis for a procedural step where an official document is available.
We do not use coaching-institute pages, forums or social media posts as sources for procedures.
How we separate fact from guidance
- Green “confirmed” notes mark details checked against official SSC material.
- Tips are practical advice based on how the portal behaves — useful, but not SSC rules.
- When a detail varies by exam or year (dates, fees, stages, slot selection), we describe the pattern and tell you to confirm it in that exam's notice.
- We do not publish exam dates, cut-offs, vacancy numbers or result links that we have not verified.
Reviews and updates
Each guide shows a “last reviewed” date. It changes only when we have re-checked the page against official sources, not when we make cosmetic edits. We re-review affected pages when SSC changes its portal or announces a new process, such as self-slot selection.
Independence
No organisation pays to influence what we write. If advertising is ever added, it will be clearly labelled and kept apart from navigation and official links, and it will never be placed to look like an SSC login button.
Corrections
If you find an error, tell us with a link to the official source if you have one. We correct factual errors promptly and update the review date once the page has been re-checked.
