SSC CHSL login: application, slot selection and admit cards

CHSL is the 12th-level SSC exam, and it was one of the first exams where SSC asked candidates to pick their own exam slot in the login. Here is what to watch for.

This page covers what is specific to CHSL. For the general login steps, see the SSC login guide.

CHSL uses your regular SSC login

The Combined Higher Secondary Level exam is for candidates who have passed Class 12. It recruits for posts such as Lower Division Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operator. Applying, slot selection, admit cards and marks all happen in your one SSC account.

CHSL and self-slot selection

CHSL 2025 was the exam where SSC first rolled out self-slot selection. Candidates logged in during a set window to pick their city (from the three in their application), date and shift. SSC's notice stated that candidates who did not use the window would be treated as not intending to appear.

If a future CHSL notice includes slot selection, put the window in your calendar the day the notice comes out. Full walkthrough: SSC slot selection.

What CHSL candidates open in the login

SSC CHSL stages: slot selection if announced, Tier 1, Tier 2 with skill or typing component, final result.
Typical SSC CHSL stages. Confirm in your year's notice.
  1. Application during the notice window, with exam centre choices in your region.
  2. Slot selection, if announced for the cycle.
  3. City slip and Tier 1 admit card close to your date.
  4. Tier 1 response sheet and answer key.
  5. Tier 1 result and marks.
  6. Tier 2 admit card — Tier 2 includes the skill or typing component set out in the notice.
  7. Final result and marks.

CHSL candidate checklist

  • When the notice comes out: diary the slot-selection window if there is one; missing it has meant no admit card.
  • Before Tier 1: check the city slip matches the slot you chose.
  • Before Tier 2: practise the typing or skill component your chosen posts require.
  • Throughout: save each response sheet. The CHSL 2026 notice (opens in a new tab) sets the objection fee at ₹50 per question, non-refundable.

CHSL tips

  • Typing and skill-test requirements depend on the post — read them before submitting preferences.
  • Many CHSL candidates also apply for MTS or GD in the same year. Your dashboard lists every exam, so open the right one before downloading anything. See MTS login.

SSC CHSL login FAQs

I missed CHSL slot selection. What now?

Check ssc.gov.in for any follow-up notice. For other 2025 exams SSC offered a one-time second chance through the Feedback Module, but it is not guaranteed for every exam.

Is “SSC CHSL login 2025” a different page?

No. The login is the same each year; your dashboard shows the cycle you applied for.
